About This Event
In honor of National Pollinator Week, join a ranger at Boone Fork Parking Area (milepost 299.9 on the Blue Ridge Parkway) for a wildflower and pollinator ID hike along the Upper Boone Fork Trail. Learn how to ID some common blooming wildflower species of the high country, and some local pollinator species that keep those flowers blooming every year. This 1.5 mile easy hike does have some tree roots and rocks to walk over, so please wear appropriate hiking shoes and dress for the weather. There are no bathrooms at Boone Fork Parking Area.
